Mr. Wayne Sparkman, director of the PCAHistorical Center, has recently begun two new web logs that should be of interest to those interested in the history the Presbyterian Church in America and related historical events.
The first is http://pcahistory.wordpress.com/, set up specifically to provide a convenient place for the founding fathers and interested others to tell their stories about the Presbyterian Church in America. Two posts on the birth of the Joining & Receiving idea, by TE Don Clements, are already posted and available for comment. To tell your own story, send an email to Mr. Sparkman at [email protected] or just use the comment box on the blog site.
A second blog has also been established, under the title The Continuing Story: Presbyterians in the Modern Era. The address for this blog is http://continuing.wordpress.com/
This blog has a more general purpose, as a place to share some of the treasures held in the archives at the PCAHistoricalCenter. Most of the items posted will touch on the conservative Presbyterian movement in the 20th century, where the HistoricalCenter has particular strengths. But posts will include other materials as well, covering the full range of the Center’s collections, from 17th century Calvin medallions to current acquisitions, news of processed collections, and just about anything that seems of interest at the moment.
