Christian Newswire — Dr. Peter Lillback, a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), president of Westminster Theological Seminary, and senior pastor at Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr, Penn., will be hosting a weekly television program, “Proclaiming the Word with Peter Lillback.” The NRB television Network, DirecTV and ION Networks recently made this announcement.
“Proclaiming the Word with Peter Lillback”, produced in HD, will present the gospel and the whole counsel of God’s Word, so that it is applicable to contemporary culture, the daily problems people face, and the great challenges confronting us as a nation. The innovative television program also seeks to see healing of racial scars throughout America, and the power of faith- based initiatives in addressing crucial social needs. In addition, the show will focus on the importance of faith and spiritual values in both our national heritage and contemporary national life.
The program launch begins on Thursday, February 5 on the NRB Network at 8:30 a.m. EST on DirecTV Channel 378 and on Sunday, February 8 at 5:00 p.m. EST on ION Network including DirecTV channel 61 “Proclaiming the Word with Peter Lillback” will also be seen on the ION network in Philadelphia, which is channel 17 on most local cable systems. The show can be seen every Thursday and Sunday at these times and on these networks.
Dr. Lillback’s most recent book is “Lessons on Liberty: A Primer for Young Patriots.” He has also authored “Wall of Misconception: Does the Separation of Church and State Mean the Separation of God and Government?”, and the national bestseller “George Washington’s Sacred Fire” (all published by Providence Forum Press), representing the culmination of 20 years of primary-source research and scholarship, for which he has received scholarly acclaim, plus national press and media coverage.
Dr. Lillback has also published many articles, including as a contributor to The Washington Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. He is a frequent lecturer on many worldview issues, and has debated Barry Lynn, president of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, and Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend, former Lt. Governor of Maryland.
Dr. Lillback received his Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a B.A. from CedarvilleUniversity in Ohio. He has traveled widely throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa for the church, the seminary, and his other ministry activities.
