The PCA Historical Center is sponsoring its first Conference on Presbyterian History at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America. The PCA GA is meeting in Houston, Texas, June 17-20, 2014. This year’s Conference will consist of two panels: Panel #1 will offer a wide-ranging coverage of American Presbyterian history. The second panel will address the subject of Presbyterians and Race
The PCA Historical Center is sponsoring its first, and what is hoped to be an annual, Conference on Presbyterian History at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America. The PCA GA is meeting in Houston, Texas, June 17-20, 2014. The Conference will be on Tuesday, June 17 from 1 – 5 PM in Ballroom J of the Hilton Americas—Houston.
The conference will be composed of two panels, with three presenters per panel. Panel #1 will have the floor from 1 – 3 PM, and will offer a wide range of topics from American Presbyterian history. Panel #2 will then present their papers between from 3 – 5 PM, with presentations focusing on the theme of Presbyterians and Race Relations.
Each panel will be assisted by moderators who will offer comments on the papers presented, and field questions from the audience as time permits. TE Nick Willborn will offer comments for Panel #1; TE Carl Ellis and TE Ligon Duncan will offer comments on the presentations for Panel #2.
Barker Productions will be taping the Conference and will have recordings available for purchase.
